Hayduke X Hey, 1993 called. They want their flannel back. Seriously, the band's own description really nails what's going on here. I was in my late teens/early twenties in the glory days of grunge. Not only does this band nail the sound, they nail the feel of that era. Great stuff. Favorite track: Droids.

bscdoom Dig this grungy take on the stoner rock sound. There's a lot to love all over this album, but the title track really does it for me! Favorite track: Leap of Faith.
Sleeping Villager
Sleeping Villager thumbnail
Sleeping Villager Narcosis present a comfortably timeless take on the grunge of yore. There's a strong sense of languid melancholy on display, which recalls the greats without feeling dull or derivative. Nirvana-meets-Sliverchair-meets-Kyuss. Bottom line: if you like grungy atmosphere and stoner rock riffs, this is a must-listen. Favorite track: Emperor.

Shifter 06:02
It’s hard to see Romance is a waste of time Night turns to day And then there’s night again my love Opposites attract by, sweating sex and drugs. Baby I just got here, let’s get lost in lust. I’m not like them I’m not fool, I’m just cool So hard to breathe I’m lost and thrilled If you can’t love me, hate me A wreck is sinking fast There's nothing new to see here. It’s hard to figure out I’m not like them I’m not fool, I’m just cool
2.
Emperor 05:26
Praise the emperor, kneel and bow. When his fortress falls, you hear a sound. It’s like a bedtime story I plead and pray for us Lesson learned in time Where’s your God? Falling down - The rest will follow Not so proud - No pills to swallow Darkness falls again, spring is dying. Never wonder why, men don't fly. Got this sinking feeling Tripping lost in time Hanging on the clouds Bring me down Falling down - The rest will follow Not so proud - No pills to swallow Calm me down - the rest will follow. Not so loud - the sound of sorrow Death, death is so tight Bury my pride, on a gloomy night. Time, time is so tight Reclaim your life. Zip your lips and die.
3.
Droids 05:04
Serve your master, choose him wise. Chew his meat and die. The droids are here. They speak, they laugh. They serve the human tribe. Kill your master, cut the line. Why don't you even try? Why? Instruments of social rights, feed your mind with lies. Somewhere between nowhere and goodbye I found the truth, I used my knife There is no life in me, I’m hollow. I followed shadows in the light. Brainwashed. The world collapsed. The worst is far behind The principle of mass survives. A starving nation dies. A bunch of people cries for blood. Fear eating souls at once. There is no knowledge here with us. Oppression rules our lives. Somewhere between nowhere and goodbye I found the truth, I used my knife There is no life in me, I’m hollow. I followed shadows in the light.

Restless 04:28
5.
Thick lulling clouds Sprinkle tears of time upon the ground Take me to the moon The spark of youth will lead you in my room Expecting the unknown Hoping, being unsure is what we know Stars have died away Slowly slipped into the pit of space Life is short to waste Time is ticking away. Feelings of despair We get what we deserve Try and find your place Build it and keep it safe Take a leap of faith Bloodshot eyes Deep in the water, feelings are worthless. Pieces were stolen, drowned in the silence.
6.
Creepers 05:40
The sun goes down and I’m still here. I’m feeling tired old and weak The darkness rose through the depths of me The illusion that I feel is real Holy creatures dancing on fire Horror at each step, walk in a line. They do not know they do not see Something’s hiding underneath In fear we trust we serve our needs The more you see the less you seek Keep it secret. Unspoken lies Feeling fearless. The fountain of life. Tie me tight, turn off the lights and please me. Salt in wounds won’t ease the pain in time. Tears are trickled down like rain again. I'm lost in twilight's blue, I need a hand. But what if life is just a dream? Wake me up and help me breathe.
7.
Side Effect 05:04
You’ll never reach perfection. Keep your eyes peeled. A never ending nightmare. A bloody pile of dreams Como estas amigo? I’m ugly as a sin. Put yourself upon me. Lead the way for me. So backwards Turn your cheek Take your time Set me free I am so high it’s all downhill from here I’m dizzy enough to feel. I'm gonna be your dangerous side effect. The heartless feels no beat. I've always been behind you. A killer scene is near. I'm trained to be your mentor. Your scent is in my skin. So backwards Turn your cheek Take your time Set me free I don't need a reason baby I’m a speck of light that heals. Can you hear? The words are fading What we've got is what we need.
8.
I was lost in you my baby Far away from truth. The world’s round I know but maybe My thoughts don't fit at all. I've got it all, I want some more. I've got it all, I want some more. Give more than you take And love more than you hate. When a guy believes he's clever, Basically he's a fool. I’m a sinner I’m a rebel I ain’t born to lose I've got it all, I want some more. I've got it all, I want some more. Give more than you take And love more than you hate.
9.
Poison Cup 03:53
Locked in a sacred shrine of love Ready to sacrifice myself My ego’s fading Forming a better man for you My girl, my darling No fire to burn our souls at once. I might get hurt but... I’ m still loving you Look for reflections in your face The situation is so strange We ride together So dull, I'm greedy for your love. I'm desperate maybe. A poison cup to drag me down I drift and die but… I’ m still loving you

"What we get is the groove and energy of bands like Queens of the Stone Age, blended with the heaviness of Kyuss and the depressive and dirty energy of 90s grunge bands like Nirvana and Silverchair.
